New itinerary by foot and by bike in the Maremma Park: A8 – Medieval Way

with No Comments

From tomorrow (2 June 2021) a new itinerary will be active at the Maremma Park to be covered both on foot and by bike, in the latter case we emphasize that a mountain bike is required!

A new way to discover hidden corners of our fantastic protected area!

Let’s see it in detail:

The itinerary begins at the A1 bis itinerary from the cemetery of Alberese, continues at the foot of Spaccasso and upon reaching the Piscina del Prete, descends intercepting the ancient medieval road of San Rabano. It first coasts a holm oak wood, then crosses an ancient olive grove until it reaches the plain. The itinerary continues on a road that crosses farms and livestock farms until reaching the Alberese station.

Ticket price: Full: € 5.0 – Reduced: € 2.0 (children 6/14 years-groups with at least 20 people-students max 25 years)

Length of the itinerary from the Visitor Center to the Alberese station and back: 11.40 km overall.

Difficulty: low

If you decide to do the route by bike, a Mountain Bike is required.

You can buy the ticket at the Alberese visitor center (via del bersagliere 7/9) and in the next few days also online.
