Excursions on horseback represent another pleasant way to discover the Park and spend time in contact with nature.

From here it is possible to have guided excursions on horse back inside the area of the Park. During these excursions the visitor is likely to come across animals such as deer, wild boars, cows and maremman horses. The itinerary Romitorio, which lasts around two hours, is a tranquil walk through the wood of oaks, ideal also for those who are not experienced.
The excursion to San Rabano, instead, lasts around three hours.
For those who have a lot of experience in riding horses there is a day excursion (around three hours) across the agricultural area, Mediterranean maquis, pine wood, marsh and river Ombrone. Experienced riders can also discover the life of maremman cowboys (Butteri Maremmani) by asking for information the offices of Alberese Azienda Agricola, in Spergolaia area, or telephoning 0564 407180. |
